Located in Minneapolis, MN. Travels well.
Knows and uses both digital and film gear.

Ted enjoys collaborating with people. Location portraiture is his primary gig. Ted crafts lighting for high key impact images, and also takes a journalistic approach with daylight. With each shoot his goal is to find soul in the subject-- and to share it. Ted always brings his humor, too.

When there are no people about, Ted does not despair. He enjoys searching for the spirit of place.

The "American Transition" series is Ted's personal work-in-progress. Here he's gone fully "old school." He uses a 4x5 Calumet camera to slowly explore people and places in the Midwest and the Pacific NW. He is especially drawn to people in times of transition (starting a new life, coping with illness, etc) and places which are slowly crumbling as they return to nature.
